Thank you for trusting Driskell Fumigation with your home or property. We know fumigation can be a big process, and we want to make returning to your property as easy as possible.
Below are answers to some of the most common questions we receive after fumigation.
Is my home safe to enter?
Once our fumigation team has completed the required clearance procedures, the tent will be removed, a re-entry sign will be posted on the door and it is safe to return into the structure.
Do I need to air out my house?
No. Once the property has been properly cleared for re-entry, that means the air has been tested and additional airing out is generally not necessary.
Do I need to wash my dishes, countertops, or clothing?
No. Fumigation chemical does not leave a residue on surfaces, and items that remained inside the structure do not need to be washed simply because of the fumigation.
What if I find insects after fumigation?
This is completely normal. Fumigation is designed to eliminate the target pest throughout the structure, and you may find dead insects or evidence of pest activity after returning home.
We often find that some customers will see ants in their home after fumigation, and this is actually because ants will feed on the dead termites! We are happy to recommend a pest control company to you that will rid any ants you may find.
Does fumigation prevent termites from coming back?
Fumigation is designed to eliminate the target infestation present at the time of treatment. It does not create a permanent barrier against future termite infestations.
Termites can re-infest a structure in the future, and regular inspections can help identify new activity early. We are happy to recommend a termite company to you for these inspections.
